The Great Big Crunch

The Great Big Crunch

On Oct. 13, 2016, Healthy Kids Community Challenge Burlington in partnership with Halton Food for Thought launched the Great Big Crunch. The Great Big Crunch is celebrating healthy eating through the eyes of an apple. 69 public and catholic schools in Burlington participated in this event and over 36,000 apples were “crunched.”

Students, teachers, educators and all food enthusiasts participated in one Great Big “synchronized” Crunch to celebrate healthy eating and highlight the availability of local foods.

For more information about the Great Big Crunch, visit the Halton Food for Thought website.
