Infused Water Challenge Recipes

 

Each recipe to be added to approximately 6 litres of water.  Allow mixture to infuse for at least 1 hour. All recipes are courtesy of schools that participated in the Taste Test Challenge, held on March 16, 2017 as part of the Healthy Kids Community Challenge initiative.

Central Grade 7s

  • 2 lemons, quartered
  • 2 limes quartered
  • 2 clementines quartered
  • 2 plums quartered

Lakeshore Public School

  • 2 clementines peeled
  • 2 peaches cut into slices
  • 1 mango cubed

Ryerson Public School

  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1 cup cranberries
  • 8 lemon slices

St Paul Elementary School

  • 12 strawberries small cubes
  • 10 x 2 inch pieces of watermelon
  • 2 lemons – ½ lemon in 3 wedges for looks, 1 ½  lemons squeezed
  • 20 mint leaves – 15 leaves ripped up

Tecumseh Public School

  • Half  mini watermelon cubed
  • 10 mint leaves crushed, mash once added to water

 Tom Thomson Public School

  • 1  green apple peeled and quartered
  • 2 cups pineapple in chunks
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
